Art show tonight at Moving Box

18 12 2009

Hey everyone! So a lot of work has gone into getting this show ready. We have added a lot of functionality to the studio to properly display the amazing artwork that has been contributed to the show. We hope to see everyone there and know that it will be an amazing time. Come out and support the local artists of this town. Local band (Ayurveda) performing 2 live sets, local art from over 10 local artists (including myself who will be presenting a visual art piece for Ayurveda’s show), and your local studio (Moving Box Studios, Hazaa!) You get all this for only $10 . Pretty incredumalous if you ask me. We hope to keep doing more of these type of events. See you there! (BYOB)

New lights and paintings for exhibit this Friday

16 12 2009

Hey everyone so here are a couple of pics of the new track lights we have for this Fridays show.

The show will feature 7-8 local artists living in Ithaca.

Ayurveda will be playing live music with a newly fashioned visualizer that I am working on for them.

Gonna be a sick evening.

New Project with NEXTinteractive

5 12 2009

Next Interactive

Very happy to be blogging about this project.

Next Interactive has come to Moving Box to produce all the media content for  an iphone app they are developing. It is still in the super secret confidential who said that phase of things but production is slated to begin next week. What I can tell you is that its a forward thinking socially conscience endeavor to create  awareness about  certain national and global issues the user might be unaware of. Mobile apps are becoming a global phenomena that speak to Moving Box’s attraction to cutting edge technology and movements. Always trying to stay current here at the Box.

Will keep you updated as visual material surfaces.

New Web Series – “Me and the Cap’n”

5 12 2009
Hey everyone!
Me and the Cap’n has been expanded into a mini-series.
This was all unscripted and improv work by Mark Spellman and I.
We have a lot of ideas for expanding it into the rest of the cereal universe.
With your help maybe we can replace the crappy commercials you see on tv.
Imagine a day where commercials are replaced with comedy skits.
It will be sooner than you think if we have anything to say about it.
Hope you enjoy. Definitely look for more soon.

Interactive Graffiti-Style Comic: NAWLZ

12 10 2009

I am intranced by this out of control Flash comic called NAWLZ.

“Nawls is a not-for-profit production exploring the capabilities of web technology to provide new immersive story experiences online”

It takes place in some super-future where astro-projection is possible through the use of mind-altering technology available at the consumer level. WHAT. What I meant is you can buy acid at Best Buy. Pretty out of control art and ideas, definitely worth checking out an issue or two.

Each issue features it’s own music, animation, and sound design. Very, very cool stuff.
