Erin Hilgartner Audition Videos

23 08 2010

Joe shot these auditions for Erin Hilgartner with the support of her family for several professional casting calls. This isn’t the first time the Hilgartners have come back to Moving Box to put together audition reels. The Hilgartners have worked with Moving Box on several occasions to get the most out of Erin’s performances.

The Hilgartners understand the importance of making the best impression possible and know that Moving Box is the best suited to help do so. Moving Box takes the time to put together quality audition tapes that really help the actor stand out from their competition. We love to get the chance to work with up and coming actors and have never seen such determination from someone as young as Erin. For her to have her family in her corner along the is a very special thing. She is very talented and it is only a matter of time before she has her big break.

Moving Box Work Featured on Ithaca Post

23 08 2010

Luke made his second video contribution to The Ithaca Post with a piece about Elisa Sciscioli, frontwoman for the local Ithaca band Solstice. You can find his piece on the Ithaca Post’s website by clicking here. It’s fascinating to hear her talk about her inner life of meditation and how it has helped her find her own voice and the strength to make the move to center stage after her career as a backup singer. For those not familiar with The Ithaca Post, it is a terrific source for music, art, and culture in Upstate New York and features a host of high-quality contributors. Be sure to check them out over at TheIthacaPost.com.

Moving Box joins the Chamber of Commerce.

26 03 2010

Hey everyone! Moving Box is on its way up. You are now looking at the newest
members of the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce. We are set to be
featured in April’s Chambergram, which circulates in the county. We have come a
long way since 2005, when Moving Box was just an idea. Now it’s 2010 and we
have a newly renovated studio, a great team of people working with us and a
fantastic group of local and national clients. Much love to everyone that has helped
and contributed along the way to get Moving Box where it is today. Cheers!

Working with the Ithaca Police Department

19 02 2010

Laying down the law near you...if in Ithaca.

Hey everyone, so Moving Box just got hired by the I.P.D. to make a recruitment video. They are always looking for dedicated officers to join the force and thought that Moving Box could help by providing a video overview of all the departments to entice possible applicants. We will start with an intitial 30 second to a minute spot that will be on their website and broadcast in the greater New York area. I’ve had limited interaction with the police in general and realize that it’s not so bad if your on the right side of the prison bars. We will be filming them at Chili fest this weekend, and if around make sure you interact with them as you could be on TV, how exciting, right! I will update you with more as I have another shoot with them this upcoming week at the shooting range where they will be showcasing their S.W.A.T. bus. Theirs a rumor I might be able to pop off some rounds and am kinda excited about it! Til next time.

The Ultimate Warrior VS Stormtroopers

24 09 2009

We did it. MCDeathBear and I completed this little ditty in about two weeks. It’s all your childhood fantasies in the way you always wanted them. That’s right, The Ultimate Warrior from from WWF battling Star Wars Stormtroopers. You’re a nerd right? You get this kind of stuff.

I should warn you, it does include some Gratuitous Violence.

Here’s the video on YouTube:

We have a new YouTube account.
It is a place to keep our video junk.
It’s called Movingboxjunk.
But don’t tell anyone.
It’s supposed to be a secret.

Here’s an example of

Zampus.com Campaign

17 08 2009

Hey Everyone, Just got done producing these three promotional videos for Zampus.com.

Zampus is doing some wonderful things to help acclimate incoming and current students with their campus. Zampus is a place where you can “Learn” about whats going on around campus, a place where you can “Vent” about anything bothering you without being censored by any administrators, and a place where anyone, including business’s, can “promote” themselves to the student body without any bias. All in all a pretty powerful website that is fused with you existing facebook account so you don’t have to reinvent your social networking wheel.

One of the most fun projects I have worked on in a while. Enjoy!

Update 12/2

2 12 2008

Winter has brought us festivities, happiness, camaraderie, and snow. Clearly this is a big change for Matt Lenz and Joe Zohar after returning from the tropical paradise of Costa Rica.

Matt and Joe have been gone for just over a week filming the pilot episode of Eco-Spots, a Co-Production of Moving Box Studios and GA.GA Productions. This show about environmental awareness; it includes shots of breath-taking deserted beaches of the Pacific Ocean, completely self-sustaining eco-lodges, national marine parks, and the mountains of Costa Rica. After a week of filming, the team walked away with great footage and production stills. The pilot episode is scheduled for completion this week and it will air in March in LifeStyle TV.

Joe has recently started using Photoshop’s animation timeline sequence for Chalk Outlines. It has allowed the artists to work more effective with each other. Nicoli Schwiep and Liz McLelland have just breached the halfway point with rotoscoping for the film. It’s looking as if a first fine cut will be complete for December 15th, and will be followed by a first trailer. Liz will produce promotional material using graphic design.

Nicoli’s Robobots is coming to fruition. He is currently putting the final touches on the first draft script of the origin story of the gigantic killer Robobots. The character designs are also on lock and some images will be posted on the blog soon.

The Java promo is also almost completely done, but a release date has not yet been set.

The principal photography of Tom Knight’s Elephants Lullaby is complete. All that’s remaining in production is the shading of the characters, which will be finished soon by Liz.

Olympus Burger HD is more than halfway converted, with 8 of the 15 scenes in HD. According to Joe and Chris, the fight scene is almost completely converted to HD and is looking awesome.

Looking towards the future, Days of Our Lamps 2 is going back into production THIS WEEK and is looking at a tentative release date of early 2009.

Stay Tuned.
