LET ME SEE THEM HANDS!!!
29 11 2010This past summer Joe, Nick & Luke flanked future roots reggae icons John Brown’s Body during their appearance at the 20th Annual Grassroots Festival of Music & Dance. The Moving Box team was on hand to capture an amazing performance from the locally founded octet.
Their set contained many musical and visual high points. While reviewing the footage of their performance, Luke chose to showcase their performance of “The Gold (Dubmatix Version)“. During the editing process, Luke felt the song deeply resonated with him. The crowd response was absolutely electric and the visual evolution of the light and camera angles created a flow that was sensually stimulating from beginning to end.
While editing the performance, Luke worked with local music legends Phil Abbott and Dan Timmons at Pyramid Sound Studios. They contributed a mixed and mastered recording made the music and sound of the event come alive.
So load up the 720p HD footage, get comfy, strap on your ear goggles and be transported to a lovely summer night, a beautiful crowd, and a unique band!

Moving Box Partners Up With The Center for Transformative Action
1 10 2010Moving Box is excited to announce a new partnership with the Center for Transformative Action to produce a series of promotional videos about their project partners. Moving Box is set to shoot videos covering the Veterans’ Sanctuary, the Tompkins County Workers’ Center, and The Life Writing Project. The CTA defines transformative action as “seeking to solve social problems by acting on the unseen threads that connect us all, rather than focusing efforts on defeating adversaries.” These videos, production of which is already underway, will be designed to educate viewers about what the philosophy of transformative action looks like in practice.

Rozatone’s Press Kit
27 09 2010The Rozatones have relocated to New York City and have been packing each venue they’ve preformed at. They have performed at big name spots like Sullivan Hall, the Canal Room, and The Bitter End and its looking like nothing can stop this force of soul & funk. The Rozatones have recently chosen Moving Box Studios to create their first press kit to send out to record labels and booking agents here in the big city. The Rozatones are no longer a small town band anymore after recently winning a Magic Hat sponsorship for their “Body on the Move” album release and tour. The group has since added two new members giving them a new, more powerful sound. The Rozatones are a unique band with a powerful sound and they chose Moving Box to help them illustrate that talent and professionalism and bring them one step closer to stardom.
Press kit DVD and cover were designed by Matt Lenz in Moving Box’s Brooklyn office.
